While a lot has been happening lately on Medium, mostly around everyone not being paid the right amount of money, and the removal of accounts creating spam articles/AI based articles, I have been collecting drafts.
I now have 181 drafts in place.
I’ve been writing on Medium for a while now, sharing everything from personal experiences to technical guides.
It’s that platform where I’ve poured my heart and soul into my articles, crafting each sentence to be informative and relatable.
My process is straightforward: I focus on writing drafts for sharing insights, humour, and personal anecdotes that resonate, and then I edit them on the day I need to post.
But, today I wrote an article that was so engaging, and perfect that even AI tools mistook it for their own kind ;)
So, what was it?
*Drum Rolls*
A tech article on AWS and docker issues.
After finishing, I decided to run it through Quillbot, a paraphrasing tool I often use.
And boom — It said that this article is 91% AI.
‘Did I write so well?’
Idk :)
But after thinking through, I added a personal example on how I used some of these snippets at work and how it helped the new on-boarders.
When I ran it through Quillbot this time, it said that this article is 0% AI.
MAAAAAAAAAGIC!
Well, for the record, Quillbot, I’m flattered.
But no machine could ever match the messy, beautiful chaos of my mind.
The next time someone or something questions whether your work is truly yours, wear it as a badge of honour.
You’re not just a writer; you’re a storyteller, a creator, and a human being.
