The Day I Realized Consistency Matters More Than Genius

Ever stared at your laptop, stuck on a coding problem that had you haunting for weeks?

“Maybe I’m just not smart enough. Maybe this is too hard for me.”

Yeah? We have all been there. Chill.

And over the years, I’ve realized this.

The real problem wasn’t our lack of talent, folks.

It was inconsistency.

✌︎㋡

I’ll explain why I’m saying this.

Look,

Some days I’d pour hours into coding, debugging, and learning. Just like the most of us, doing the right stuff.

But what about the other days? Huh?

On other days, I’d scroll aimlessly through articles, reels, YouTube, convincing myself I was “resting” or “chilling.”

Now, talent alone doesn’t really help anyone.

And once I recognized that, I made a tiny, radical decision:

two focused hour every day, no excuses.

Some days I hated it. Actually, let me honest. It was most days ߹𖥦߹

Like some days it felt so boring.

But day after day, the patterns started to emerge.

Slowly, the once-impossible problem began to feel manageable, I swear.

One small step, repeated consistently, was transforming my skill in ways that flashes of “genius” never had.

On day 72, I learned something huge: consistency compounds. I saw crazy improvements.

Talent might give you bursts of insight, but without the daily grind, it’s fleeting.

Showing up, even when motivation is low, is what builds lasting growth.

And now this lesson goes far beyond coding.

I am adding this up for:

  • Writing
  • Fitness
  • Learning new skills
  • Building relationships
It’s not about perfection or brilliance; it’s about commitment.

Brilliance would come over, by itself.

In case we are meeting for the first time, come over here, it’ll be worth the roller coaster of articles that are gonna come up in the next few weeks.
