Unlocking Passive Income: Turning a Basic HIIT Timer into a Steady Monthly Revenue
At this point, I have 4 different YouTube Channels.
And I still suck at even basic video editing, but it’s okay. Brb, crying.
But let’s talk about the first one today.
The one that makes the least amount of money. (No wait, the least from the ones that make money xD)
Okay, So What Makes This Approach Work?
- Low Barrier to Entry
- The tools and skills required are basic. You don’t need expensive equipment or advanced editing knowledge.
2. Evergreen Content
- Timers are timeless. Once uploaded, they continue to generate views and revenue without requiring updates.
And HIIT is a niche within timers too.
Attempts:
Okay, so this is my second attempt on timers to be honest. I tried the same in 2022, and it didn’t work.
Attempt 1:
My approach back then was:
- Bulk Timer Creation and Upload
Using Python scripts, I batch-generated multiple timer variations, saving hours of manual work. I will add the sample script link at the end, don’t worry :)
And uploaded all them via the YouTube bulk upload
- Scheduled Uploads
Then, I utilized YouTube’s scheduling feature to maintain consistent uploads even during busy weeks.
Sounds perfect? But none of the timer got more than 100 views. Maybe one did get a 500, but yeah.
Attempt 2:
I have a complete workflow now. It runs everyday
- It creates a new timer every day (obviously using Python)
- Uploads that video to YouTube (schedules it 15 minutes from the current time)
- I have another workflow that updates the schedule time of the main workflow, so YouTube does not feel I have automated this.
The earning has been consistent (plus 50 minus 20) and growing.
Last Month’s Breakdown was:
- Ad Revenue: $156
- Affiliate Commissions: $90
So, $246.
Now, obviously this hasn’t happened overnight.
It took me more than 13 months.
And A lot of trial and error, I swear :)
But — Sometimes, the most basic ideas can yield surprising results.
Now, why don’t I give you my YouTube channel detail here?
Because the last time I did that, a lot of people reported my videos. Some even flagged it for AI generated content. Why so mean?
